When you see your baby on ultrasound, your brain instantly releases the love and connection hormone. The same one that comes immediately after birth when you meet them!

As soon as you see your own baby’s normal movements and unique features, the oxytocin comes and sends a deeper, genuine bonding and connection signal to your brain.

This feeling immediately relieves anxiety and the tough pregnancy symptoms.

Reminding you how much love this 9 months is really for.

Don’t have to! Only really needed if you are in early pregnancy. Otherwise baby is big enough and a full bladder is just uncomfortable!

BUT good hydration in general is VERY important for clear imaging! 2-3 Litres daily!

For baby’s facial features its around 30 weeks! When baby starts to get a little more chubby!

BUT over 34 weeks baby is usually a little too squished and 5D doesn’t work very well! It is hard to predict how well it will work

(Make sure you choose the guarantee session if you prefer!)

Any time is really just as precious!:

8-12 weeks- Baby grows from a bean shape to arms and legs in this time

14-20 weeks- Little baby growing bigger, watch them yawn, wriggle and stretch

20+ weeks- Too big to fit head to toe on the screen, facial features are visible, watch and see how chubby they get

There is a few factors that affect the 2D and 5D imaging. Unfortunately it is not always easy to get that perfect view of baby.

-If baby is facing away, too squished, no space, less fluid, maternal composition and very high BMI are factors that make it a little more tricky.

We wish it was always easy, but unfortunately like any ultrasound we can’t predict how well it will work.

Gender is visible on ultrasound at 12 weeks and up!

We do blue or pink room lights reveal if you like!

Or we have envelopes to take home for your own special reveal!!

We will always explain the accuracy based on what is visible too (Specialising in Nub theory too)

At 10-11 weeks it’s more 50/50, 12 weeks it’s mostly obvious, but closer to 13+ is more reliable :)

Starting in 2D we discover what position baby is in, recording heartbeat and capturing them wriggle around.

Switching to 5D mode and taking many of those precious snapshots of all the angles possible.

Just know our tech’s will do as much as they can possible to get the best images and videos of your baby. Feel free to also mention anything that you have in mind.

Once finished, relax on the couch while we print the best images out!
